Essential Information and Forms
To complete your forms, go to Blackbaud and log in with your email address.
We recommend using “Sign on with Google” rather than entering your password manually.

Common Questions
Here are some answers to commonly asked questions about a semester at The Mountain School

There is wireless internet in the academic building, and in the dorms. Many students bring laptops, and the school has some available for loan if you do not have one of your own. You will not have access to your phone while at the Mountain School.

Many students here are athletes and want to stay conditioned for their sport. We don’t have official athletic teams, but students often organize basketball or frisbee games, do pull-ups in the dorm, run on our trail network, etc. Disciplined athletes can stay fit here, by running on roads and trails, lifting and carrying during farm work or woods crew, or working out in our on campus gym. Our graduates have gone on to play sports in college and professionally.

Yes, definitely bring it! The Mountain School attracts a lot of musicians. There are plenty of opportunities to play music alone or in groups. We have a piano on campus in the dining hall.

Spring ’25
September 15
S’25 parents/caregivers are assigned Health & Wellness enrollment forms in Blackbaud, and students receive Teacher Questionnaire links to send to their Math, French, and Spanish teachers.
October 15
Health & Wellness forms and Math/Language Teacher Questionnaires are due.
S’25 parents/caregivers and students are assigned Housing & Documentation enrollment forms in Blackbaud.
November 15
Housing & Documentation forms are due.
Tuition and Expenses
The Mountain School invoices families for tuition and fees through FACTS after students have accepted their place. Your tuition invoice will reflect the total amount of tuition and fees less Mountain School Financial Aid and financial aid from your home school, if applicable. You may contact our Business Manager to arrange a payment plan or you may pay in a single installment.
We require that students are covered by a health insurance plan. If necessary, a half-year plan can be obtained through Milton Academy, which also offers elective accident and tuition-refund insurance. For questions about billing or health insurance, please contact our Business Manager.
If you must forfeit your spot before the semester begins, we may be able to welcome a student from our waitlist. In that case, we would not require your tuition; however, deposits are non-refundable.
Standardized Testing
You can take the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and AP exams while attending the Mountain School. Learn more about standardized testing at the Mountain School.
Immunization Information
Immunizations are required for enrollment in all Vermont schools in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Information and new forms for school year 2024-2025 can be found at Health Vermont’s website:
